Dr. Saranya Balasubramaniam

Dr. Saranya Bala is a board-certified ophthalmologist dedicated to caring for families across the Inland Empire. She provides comprehensive medical and surgical eye care, from routine exams and cataract surgery to advanced treatments for glaucoma and dry eye. Patients appreciate her calm manner, clear explanations, and focus on building long-term relationships so every plan fits their goals and lifestyle. Raised in Redlands, Dr. Bala completed college at Washington University in St. Louis, earned her medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, and trained in ophthalmology at the Mayo Clinic. She then pursued an advanced fellowship at UC Davis Medical Center focused on minimally invasive and traditional glaucoma surgeries before returning to Southern California. In the clinic she blends in-office lasers and office-based procedures with state-of-the-art surgery, including options to reduce the need for drops or glasses. Outside of work she enjoys family time, cooking, tennis, and the outdoors. Her goal is simple: safe, thoughtful care that helps you see your best.
