About Me
Dr. Sarah M. Covey is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist specializing in cataract treatment and surgery. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the highly esteemed program at Louisiana State University after her medical school training and internship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Dr. Covey is committed to providing personalized care for a wide range of eye conditions, with a particular focus on cataract and presbyopia-correcting surgeries. She is well versed in using a variety of intraocular lenses to create individualized treatment plans that best meet her patients' vision needs.
Dr. Covey has contributed to the field through writing and publishing papers and giving presentations on topics such as posterior vitreous detachments and glaucoma testing. She is passionate about serving diverse patient populations and speaks some Spanish, which has been invaluable in her work with Spanish-speaking communities and her participation in medical missions. Dr. Covey has traveled to Spanish-speaking countries, including a trip to Guatemala in 2016, to perform sight-restoring cataract and pterygium surgeries. She is now thrilled to be serving patients in the Northwest Arkansas area.
