Dr. Sarah Farukhi Ahmed is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and glaucoma surgeon who provides medical and surgical care for a wide range of eye conditions. Her clinical interests include advanced glaucoma management, cataracts, dry eye disease, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. She also performs minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS) and tailors treatment plans to each patient’s diagnosis and vision goals. Dr. Ahmed graduated magna cum laude from the University of Southern California and completed her ophthalmology residency at the Gavin Herbert Eye Institute at the University of California, Irvine, where she earned distinctions including Preliminary Resident of the Year, Chief Resident in Ophthalmology, and the Outstanding Resident Research Award. She then completed a glaucoma surgical fellowship at the UC San Diego Shiley Eye Institute. Dr. Ahmed has presented research in MIGS on international platforms, including the World Glaucoma Association meeting in Finland.
