About Me
Dr. Ronald Willson is a vitreoretinal physician and surgeon who specializes in the medical and surgical management of conditions affecting the retina and vitreous. He has been practicing in the New Orleans area since 2001. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Willson earned his medical degree with Distinction in Research from the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Medicine. He completed an internship in internal medicine, a residency in ophthalmology, and a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Willson is actively involved in clinical research, serving as an investigator for numerous clinical trials. He has authored peer-reviewed journal articles and has participated in lectures and medical conferences on ophthalmic topics.
