About Me
Dr. Kathy Ta is an ophthalmologist with expertise in retinal and vitreous conditions. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree magna cum laude from Tulane University and her medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine. Her postgraduate training includes an internal medicine internship at Ochsner Clinic Foundation, an ophthalmology residency at LSU Health and Ochsner Medical Center, and a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at The Foundation for Retinal Research.
During her residency, Dr. Ta served as Chief Resident and received several awards for academic excellence, including the Excellence in Ophthalmology Award and the Philip H. Jones Scholarship. She is actively engaged in clinical research focused on diseases of the retina, macula, and vitreous.
Dr. Ta holds medical staff privileges at hospitals in Metairie, Slidell, Covington, and Gulfport, and she is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists.
