About Me
Dr. Robert E. Coffee is a retina specialist at Berkeley Eye Center, where he focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the retina and vitreous. He provides care for conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, and macular holes. He sees patients at multiple practice locations throughout the Houston area.
Dr. Coffee completed his undergraduate studies at Davidson College and earned a Master of Public Health from Emory University. He attended medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina and went on to complete an internship and residency in ophthalmology at Baylor College of Medicine. He then pursued fellowship training in retina surgery at the Stein Eye Institute at UCLA.
Recognized for his commitment to patient care, Dr. Coffee has received a Vitals Patient’s Choice Award and has been named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor since 2023.
