Dr. Joseph Christiansen

Dr. Joseph S. Christiansen is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in the medical and surgical management of diseases of the retina and vitreous. He brings extensive experience to Retina Consultants of Texas, having previously served as an active-duty medical officer in the United States Army for fifteen years. During his military service, he directed the retina department at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio and contributed to medical education as an Assistant Professor of Surgery.

Dr. Christiansen treats a variety of complex retinal conditions, utilizing his specialized fellowship training. His practice focuses on providing comprehensive care for patients with retinal diseases. In his personal life, he enjoys spending time with his family, attending his children's sporting events, and traveling. He also speaks conversational Korean.
