About Me
Dr. Nicole Lifson is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in medical retina, with a focus on treating complex retinal disorders such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, ocular infections, and vascular disorders. She also provides general ophthalmology care and performs cataract surgery, offering comprehensive eye health solutions.
Dr. Lifson completed her undergraduate education at the University of Rochester and earned her medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University, where she graduated cum laude and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Her training includes a transitional internship at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, an ophthalmology residency at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, and a Medical Retina fellowship at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.
She has received several honors and awards for academic achievement and is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Outside of her professional commitments, Dr. Lifson enjoys exploring Houston's dining scene, skiing, and spending time with family.
