About Me
Robert E. Leonard II, M.D., is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist at Retinal Associates of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City. He specializes in vitreo-retinal diseases, treating conditions such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusions, macular holes, retinal detachments, and macular puckers.
Dr. Leonard has been involved in pivotal anti-VEGF clinical trials that have advanced the treatment of wet macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vein occlusions. He has participated in over 30 clinical trials and has contributed to numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and textbook chapters.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Leonard serves as a Clinical Professor and Director of the vitreo-retinal surgery fellowship program, where he trains the next generation of retina specialists.
