About Me

Dr. Priyanka Kanakamedala is a board-certified ophthalmologist and cornea fellowship–trained surgeon who focuses on cataract and refractive vision correction. She performs customized refractive cataract surgery using femtosecond-laser technology and works with patients who are considering premium intraocular lens options, including multifocal implants and the Light Adjustable Lens.

In addition to routine cataract surgery, she treats complex cataracts and provides cornea-focused care such as corneal transplantation, Descemet membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK), and scleral-fixated intraocular lenses. She also offers LASIK and PRK, along with corneal cross-linking for keratoconus.

Dr. Kanakamedala earned her undergraduate degree at Duke University and completed medical school and ophthalmology residency at Indiana University, followed by a fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at the University of Minnesota.
