About Me
Dr. Priya Mathews is a board-certified, fellowship-trained cornea, refractive, and cataract surgeon at Center For Sight. She cares for patients seeking clearer vision from cataracts, as well as those looking to reduce dependence on glasses or contacts through laser vision correction. Her practice also focuses on cornea and ocular surface disease, with expertise in diagnosing and treating conditions such as keratoconus, Fuchs’ dystrophy, autoimmune-related eye disease, and severe dry eye.
Dr. Mathews completed ophthalmology residency training at the Harkness Eye Institute at Columbia University Medical Center and then pursued advanced fellowship training in Cornea, External Diseases, and Refractive Surgery at the Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute. She offers a broad range of advanced procedures, including corneal crosslinking, corneal transplantation (including DMEK and DSAEK), and LASIK and PRK. She has participated in medical and surgical mission trips internationally and is involved in efforts to address the global burden of corneal blindness through clinical care and service.
