Priya R. Gupta, M.D. is a board-certified ophthalmologist who brings extensive knowledge and expertise to Cornerstone Eye Associates. She completed her undergraduate degree at Cornell University, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and earned her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College with a Distinction in Research. Dr. Gupta then pursued rigorous surgical training during her ophthalmology residency at Duke University, followed by a clinical fellowship in Inherited Retinal Degenerations at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary/Harvard Medical School.

Her specialized training in retinal conditions and comprehensive ophthalmology allows her to provide advanced care for a wide range of eye diseases. Dr. Gupta is dedicated to patient-centered compassionate care and has contributed to the field through numerous first-author publications and national research grants from organizations like the Foundation Fighting Blindness and Research to Prevent Blindness.

A Rochester native, Dr. Gupta is excited to return to her hometown community to offer expert eye care. Outside of medicine, she enjoys classical Indian dance forms such as Bharatnatyam and Bhangra, holds a third-degree black belt in Isshin Ryu Karate, and engages in sketching, reflecting her creative and active lifestyle.
