Dr. Phelan Piehota

Dr. Phelan Piehota is a board-certified ophthalmologist who joined Lowcountry Eye Specialists in June 2020. He specializes in treating diseases of the eye, eyelids, and surrounding structures, providing comprehensive eye care for patients throughout Ladson, South Carolina.

Before his medical career, Dr. Piehota served as a combat medic in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, where he was deployed during Operation Iraqi Freedom and completed over 300 combat missions. He completed his undergraduate education with honors at Millersville University and earned his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Piehota then completed his osteopathic internship and ophthalmology residency at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
