About Me

Dr. Paul J. Lee is a vitreo-retinal surgeon who treats patients with diseases of the retina, vitreous, and macula. He specializes in the management of age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, floaters, and geographic atrophy. His surgical expertise includes vitrectomy, scleral buckling surgery, and the implantation of miniature telescopes for advanced macular degeneration. Dr. Lee also addresses vascular diseases of the retina and complications arising from anterior segment surgery.

Dr. Lee completed his undergraduate and medical education at Georgetown University, followed by residencies in pathology and ophthalmology at Georgetown University Medical Center and Albany Medical Center. He then completed a vitreo-retinal fellowship at Tulane University School of Medicine. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Lee has contributed to medical literature as a co-editor of a textbook and author of chapters on endophthalmitis and ocular tumors, and holds a patent for a syringe design.
