About Me
Dr. Mehdi A. Khan is a vitreo-retinal surgeon specializing in diseases and surgery of the retina, vitreous, and macula, with an emphasis on diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, and inflammatory disorders. He provides care for conditions such as retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and floaters, and performs procedures including vitrectomy, scleral buckling surgery, and implantable miniature telescope placement. Dr. Khan also has a background as a retired lieutenant colonel and flight surgeon in the United States Air Force and is an active researcher.
Beyond direct patient care, Dr. Khan serves as a board examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology and has been a board member for the NYS-DOH Office of Professional Medical Conduct for over 11 years.
