Dr. Paul Liva

Dr. Paul Liva is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon at Hackensack Eye Care Center. He provides routine eye exams for eyeglasses and contact lenses, and treats a variety of eye conditions including cataracts, glaucoma, retina diseases such as retinal detachment, age-related macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. He also manages eye inflammation, uveitis, graft versus host disease, and dry eyes.

Dr. Liva earned his medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma De Guadalajara Medical School. He completed a residency in ophthalmology at UMDNJ Hackensack Medical Center and a fellowship at UMDNJ. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Liva sees patients of all ages and speaks Spanish.
