Dr. Alejandro Bevacqua

Dr. Alejandro Bevacqua is an ophthalmologist specializing in medical and surgical eye care. He earned his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton and his medical degree from New York Medical College, followed by an ophthalmology residency at Nassau County Medical Center where he served as chief resident. Board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Bevacqua has been in private practice since 1998.

Dr. Bevacqua has extensive experience diagnosing and treating conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease. He performs advanced surgical procedures including no-stitch cataract surgery and custom cornea LASIK, and has treated traumatic eye injuries during his training at a regional trauma center. He is recognized as a top eye physician by The Consumer's Research Council.
