About Me
Dr. Olga Shif is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in medical and surgical retina care at National Retina Institute. She evaluates and treats conditions that affect the retina and vitreous, including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, and problems that can cause new floaters, flashes, or distorted vision.
Her training includes ophthalmology residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and vitreoretinal fellowship training, including completing the National Retina Institute fellowship program. Dr. Shif earned her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College (now Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University) and graduated magna cum laude from Arcadia University. She is fluent in English, Russian and Spanish, and she is committed to helping patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options—from careful monitoring and laser procedures to injections and retinal surgery—so they can feel confident in their care.
