About Me
Dr. Norman E. Pahmeier is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has been in private practice since 2001. He completed his Ophthalmology residency in 1998 through a combined program with the US Army and USAF, training at Brooke Army Medical Center and Wilford Hall Medical Center. Dr. Pahmeier earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 1991 and holds a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University.
During his military service, Dr. Pahmeier served as a Flight Surgeon for the US Army from 1992 to 1995 and was awarded Flight Surgeon of The Year in 1994. He held key roles including Chief of the Department of Surgery at Lyster Army Hospital and served as the US Army's Ophthalmology Aeromedical Consultant. His experience includes designing and implementing an aeromedical medevac program at Ft Rucker, Alabama.
Dr. Pahmeier is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is committed to providing comprehensive eye care to his patients. Outside of his practice, he is active in his church and enjoys riding dressage with his horses.
