Dr. Mohammed El Mallah

Dr. Mohammed ElMallah is an internationally acclaimed cataract and refractive surgeon practicing in Ocala and The Villages. He practices comprehensive ophthalmology with a primary interest in restoring vision through cataract surgery and improving quality of life through refractive lens exchange (RLE) procedures.

Dr. ElMallah has extensive experience in the surgical management of glaucoma and has been the principal investigator in several clinical trials for the FDA, helping commercialize and bring to market several of the leading minimally invasive glaucoma devices available today. He is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and maintains memberships in the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Glaucoma Society.

Since joining Ocala Eye in 2008, Dr. ElMallah has personally performed over 9,000 cataract surgeries and over 27,000 total procedures. He is passionate about patient education, having written and published a patient guide for cataract surgery and sharing educational videos on his YouTube channel.
