Dr. Charles Blake

C. Richard Blake, MD is a fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist and comprehensive ophthalmologist. He has extensive experience in the diagnosis, medical treatment, and surgical treatment of all forms of glaucoma. Dr. Blake also practices comprehensive ophthalmology, addressing a wide variety of eye issues, and regularly performs cataract surgery using the latest lenses and technology.

Dr. Blake earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He then completed a glaucoma fellowship at the University of Florida. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and has been in practice since 2005.

Dr. Blake has published research in several ophthalmology journals and has also volunteered as a visiting ophthalmologist in Latin American countries. He provides care at UF Health Eye Center – The Oaks.
