Dr. Mohamed Gendy is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained retina specialist at Indiana Retina Center. He specializes in the medical and surgical management of retinal and vitreous conditions, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, and macular holes. Dr. Gendy completed his ophthalmology residency at Northwestern University School of Medicine and then pursued a two-year surgical retina fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin, one of the most prestigious retina fellowships in the country.
His clinical expertise encompasses a wide range of retinal diseases, and he is experienced in the latest treatments such as intravitreal injections and vitrectomy. Dr. Gendy is actively involved in research, with a focus on ocular imaging and clinical trials. He has participated as an investigator in multiple phase II and III clinical trials for retinal conditions and has published peer-reviewed articles.
