About Me
Dr. Mitchell S. Fineman is a board-certified vitreoretinal surgeon at Mid Atlantic Retina, with clinical expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of retinal and vitreous conditions. He provides care at multiple locations throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey, including offices in Plymouth Meeting, Philadelphia, Newtown Square, and Cherry Hill. Dr. Fineman offers advanced medical and surgical management for conditions affecting the macula, retina, and vitreous.
A significant area of Dr. Fineman's clinical interest is sports-related ocular trauma, and he served as the team ophthalmologist for the Philadelphia Eagles for two decades. He treats common retinal diseases such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, macular holes, and retinal vein occlusions. His practice focuses on delivering comprehensive retinal care using the latest diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Fineman is an Attending Surgeon at Wills Eye Hospital and an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University.
