About Me

Dr. Michael Feilmeier is a board-certified ophthalmologist with advanced fellowship training in corneal and refractive surgery. He provides comprehensive medical and surgical eye care, with a particular focus on laser vision correction (LASIK and PRK), corneal diseases, and advanced cataract surgery. Dr. Feilmeier is experienced in corneal transplantation, including the use of artificial corneas, and offers refractive cataract surgery with a range of intraocular lens options to meet each patient's visual goals.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Feilmeier is actively involved in global eye health initiatives. He serves as Medical Director of the International Division of Ophthalmology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and has provided surgical training and care in multiple countries. Locally, he volunteers at community clinics to offer free eye care services. Dr. Feilmeier is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.

Dr. Feilmeier completed his ophthalmology residency at the top-ranked Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and then pursued a fellowship in cornea, anterior segment, and international ophthalmology at the John A. Moran Eye Center. He is committed to providing personalized, compassionate care and enjoys helping patients achieve and maintain clear vision.
