About Me
Dr. Michael Manning is an ophthalmologist serving the Tampa Bay area with expertise in cataract surgery, vision correction, and advanced refractive procedures. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and the World College of Refractive Surgery & Visual Sciences, and he leads the Gulfcoast Eye Care team as its CEO. Dr. Manning has dedicated his career to improving patients' vision, particularly those with devitalizing eye conditions.
He is a pioneer in bringing new vision correction techniques to Tampa Bay, including SMILE laser vision correction, refractive lens exchange, and implantable collamer lenses (ICL). Dr. Manning also provides comprehensive eye care for conditions such as glaucoma, dry eye disease, diabetic eye disease, and macular degeneration. He offers both surgical and non-surgical treatments, including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) and advanced cataract surgery.
Dr. Manning completed his medical degree at the University of South Florida College of Medicine and an ophthalmology residency at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, where he served as chief resident. He is passionate about delivering advanced, effective care and takes time to get to know each of his patients.
