Dr. Lewis Apter

Dr. Lewis Apter is a board-certified ophthalmologist with over 37 years of experience in general ophthalmology. He serves patients at The Eye Institute of West Florida in St. Petersburg, Florida. Dr. Apter provides comprehensive eye care, including routine eye exams, diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases, and management of complex eye conditions.

Dr. Apter earned his medical degree from the University of Geneva in Switzerland and completed a surgery internship at the University of Miami. He then completed his ophthalmology residency at the Medical College of Georgia. A long-time resident of Pinellas County, he has been with The Eye Institute of West Florida since 2007.

Dr. Apter's practice focuses on the full spectrum of eye health, from common refractive errors to chronic eye diseases. With his extensive experience, he is dedicated to providing personalized and attentive care to each patient.
