Dr. Daniel L. Feiler is a retina specialist who cares for patients with retinal and macular disease, offering both in-office treatments and surgical options when needed. Dr. Feiler completed medical school at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, then trained in ophthalmology at the Cole Eye Institute at Cleveland Clinic. He went on to complete a medical and surgical retina fellowship at the University of Iowa’s Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences and is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He sees patients across multiple regional clinic locations and provides care for a wide range of retinal conditions, from chronic medical diseases to urgent retinal tears and detachments.

Dr. Mary T. Champion is a vitreoretinal specialist who cares for patients with medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous. Dr. Champion earned her medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, completed an ophthalmology residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center, and pursued advanced fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery with Associated Retina Consultants in Phoenix.At KU Eye, Dr. Champion treats common and complex retinal conditions using modern diagnostics and surgical techniques. Whether stabilizing vision threatened by diabetes, repairing a retinal detachment, or addressing age-related macular degeneration, she partners with patients and their families to support long-term eye health and quality of life.

Dr. Alan Hromas is an ophthalmologist specializing in medical and surgical retina care. He evaluates and treats complex retinal disease with a focus on helping patients understand their diagnosis, the available treatment options, and the goals of care over time. Dr. Hromas earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 2010, completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Kansas (serving as Chief Resident), and then completed fellowship training in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery at Retina & Vitreous of Texas in Houston. He has participated in clinical research efforts exploring new therapies for diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration. In addition to advanced retinal procedures, he emphasizes timely treatment and clear communication to support patients facing vision-threatening conditions.
