About Me
Dr. Ward is an ophthalmologist who focuses on corneal and external eye diseases, cataracts, ocular surface disorders, and refractive surgery for conditions like nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia. His expertise encompasses both medical and surgical management of these eye conditions.
He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and actively involved in professional societies including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Cornea Society, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the International Society of Refractive Surgery, the Utah Ophthalmology Society, and the Iowa Eye Association. In addition, he holds a special role as an examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology, contributing to the certification of other ophthalmologists.
Originally from Salt Lake City, Dr. Ward is dedicated to global health initiatives, regularly partnering with The Luke Commission in eSwatini to deliver medical and surgical eye care. His humanitarian efforts have extended to providing free medical services in Peru, Nepal, eSwatini, Romania, and the Republic of Moldova, reflecting his commitment to improving eye health worldwide.
