Dr. Matthew Klocek

Dr. Matthew Klocek is a distinguished ophthalmologist who joined Eye Care Guam (Lombard Health) in 2020, and prior to this, worked in private practice in Newport News, VA. He embarked on his medical journey at Mercyhurst College, where he graduated Magna cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Sportsmedicine. His passion for medicine led him to Penn State College of Medicine, where he earned a Doctorate of Philosophy in Anatomy, a Master of Science in Anatomy, and later, a Doctor of Medicine.

Dr. Klocek's postgraduate training was extensive, completing a Transitional Year at UPMC Mercy, followed by a residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and Eye and Ear Institute. Throughout his academic and professional journey, he has been recognized for his outstanding achievements, notably receiving two awards from Penn State College of Medicine. His dedication to the field is evident in his teaching experiences, having served as a Teaching Assistant and Lecturer multiple times for the Structural Basis of Medical Practice course.

Furthermore, he has contributed significantly to ophthalmological research, with numerous research papers, abstracts, and poster presentations to his name. He brings this comprehensive experience to his practice at Eye Care Guam, where patients benefit from his advanced training and commitment to eye care.
