Dr. Janie Yoo

Dr. Janie Yoo is a board-certified, fellowship-trained eye physician and surgeon specializing in corneal and refractive surgery, with advanced training from Harvard Medical School. She provides comprehensive eye care to patients in Lihue, Kapaa, and throughout Kauai County, addressing a wide range of eye conditions with high-quality medical and surgical treatments.

Dr. Yoo graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, San Diego, where she was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. She earned her medical degree from Loma Linda University and completed her ophthalmology residency there. Her fellowship in corneal and refractive surgery was conducted at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary at Harvard Medical School.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Yoo has extensive humanitarian experience, having served as Medical Director of the Lusaka Eye Hospital in Africa for six years. She currently holds an adjunct assistant professor position at Loma Linda University and is on the medical staff at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital and Wilcox Memorial Hospital. She is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
