Dr. Matthew Haynie

Dr. Matthew Haynie cares for children with all types of eye problems and for adults with strabismus (eye misalignment). He enjoys meeting families where they are—whether a child needs glasses after a failed vision screening or is preparing for surgery—and explains tests and treatment options in friendly, straightforward terms. His goal is to improve comfort and function so kids can learn, play, and grow with confidence, and adults can return to daily tasks without double vision.

Dr. Haynie completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center and a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at Duke University Eye Center. He earned his medical degree at the University of California, San Diego. His academic interests include pediatric cataract and glaucoma care and the surgical education of trainees.
