About Me
Dr. Mary Elizabeth Hartnett is a retina specialist and ophthalmologist at Stanford Health Care, where she holds the Michael F. Marmor, M.D. Professorship in Retinal Science and Diseases and serves as a professor of ophthalmology. She directs the Pediatric Retina service and leads a retinal angiogenesis research laboratory, investigating causes and treatments for conditions including retinopathy of prematurity and age-related macular degeneration.
Her clinical practice focuses on medical and surgical management of complex retinal and macular diseases. Dr. Hartnett provides care for patients with a range of retinal conditions, from diabetic retinopathy and retinal detachment to angiogenic diseases and pediatric retinal disorders. She is fellowship-trained in vitreoretinal surgery and brings extensive research expertise to her patient care.
