About Me

Dr. Marvin Hsiao is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist and cornea and refractive surgery specialist. He is highly skilled in the medical and surgical treatment of a wide range of eye diseases, including cataracts, glaucoma, retinal conditions, and corneal disorders. Dr. Hsiao has a special interest in modern refractive cataract surgery, utilizing the most advanced technologies and premium lens implants to improve vision and reduce dependence on glasses.

In addition to cataract surgery, Dr. Hsiao performs corneal refractive surgery, corneal transplant surgery, and procedures for ocular surface diseases. He is specialty trained in managing dry eye syndrome, corneal infections, and various corneal conditions. His approach integrates the latest techniques, such as laser-assisted cataract surgery and wavefront-optimized refractive surgery, to provide personalized care.

Dr. Hsiao completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and a fellowship in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery at the Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA. He currently serves as a volunteer assistant professor at UT Southwestern, teaching cataract surgery to ophthalmology residents. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and enjoys spending time with his family.
