Dr. Marez Megalla

Marez Megalla, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in diseases of the retina and uveitis. A New Jersey native, she earned her medical degree at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, then completed ophthalmology residency at Yale New Haven Hospital. Dr. Megalla pursued two fellowships: vitreoretinal surgery at Yale and ocular inflammation and immunology at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts Eye and Ear. She has served as an assistant professor at the University of Massachusetts, where she taught residents and cared for complex retinal and inflammatory eye disease. At SightMD, Dr. Megalla provides comprehensive medical and surgical retina care, including intravitreal injections, in-office laser, and advanced repair of retinal detachment and macular disorders. She enjoys partnering with patients and their families to set goals, explain each step of care, and support long-term vision health.
