Dr. Ahsan Hussain is a vitreoretinal surgeon who manages both urgent and chronic diseases of the retina and vitreous. He provides comprehensive care for diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, retinal tears and detachments, macular holes and epiretinal membranes, and vascular occlusions—offering office-based laser and injection therapies as well as advanced microsurgery. Patients describe him as thorough, approachable, and committed to careful follow-up.

Dr. Hussain completed an accelerated BA/MD program at the University of Missouri, where he was the recipient of the J. Michael de Ungria Humanitarian Award, the Sarah Morrison Research Award, and was inducted into the Gold Humanism Society. He completed his ophthalmology residency at New York Medical College, where he served as Chief Resident and received the Most Outstanding Resident Award. He further specialized with a vitreoretinal fellowship at Boston University.

Dr. Hussain’s research has been published in numerous leading peer-reviewed medical journals and he has been awarded multiple grants for his work.
