About Me
Dr. Marco Alejandro Gonzalez is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in retinal conditions. Born and raised in Miami, he attended Duke University where he was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Economics. He earned his medical degree with honors from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine.
Dr. Gonzalez completed his ophthalmology residency and a two-year fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami. His clinical and research interests include age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular diseases, and surgical procedures such as retinal detachment repair and macular hole surgery.
He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists. Dr. Gonzalez joined Delray Eye Associates in 2018, where he provides expert retinal care to patients in South Florida.
