About Me
Dr. Manik Goel is a board-certified ophthalmologist and glaucoma & cataract specialist who provides comprehensive medical and surgical care for patients across Southwest Florida. He diagnoses and treats the full spectrum of glaucoma—including primary open-angle, angle-closure, secondary, and childhood forms—and brings particular expertise to cataract surgery in patients with complex eye conditions. A thoughtful educator, Dr. Goel helps patients understand their disease, options, and expected recovery so they can choose a plan with confidence.
Dr. Goel completed a glaucoma fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh after ophthalmology residency at Washington University in St. Louis; he earned his medical degree from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. Before practicing in Florida, he served on the ophthalmology faculty at Marshall University, where he taught residents and delivered tertiary-level glaucoma care. Today he offers collaborative, evidence-based treatment—from careful monitoring to surgery—tailored to each patient’s vision goals.
