About Me
Dr. Maanasa Indaram is an ophthalmologist specializing in pediatric ophthalmology, adult strabismus, and eye movement disorders. She treats children with a wide range of vision problems and also cares for adults with strabismus, nystagmus, and other motility issues. Patients often see her for keratoconus, where she offers corneal cross-linking, and for eye alignment concerns that may be managed with glasses, Botox injections, or eye muscle surgery.
She also evaluates and treats blocked tear ducts, pediatric cataracts, amblyopia (lazy eye), ptosis, and orbital dermoid cysts. As medical director of UCSF’s pediatric ophthalmology division and adult strabismus clinic, she works closely with families to create practical treatment plans that support long-term vision and function. Dr. Indaram earned her medical degree at Duke University School of Medicine, completed ophthalmology residency at UCSF, and completed fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus at Boston Children’s Hospital and Massachusetts Eye and Ear.
