Dr. M Scott Hickman

Dr. M. Scott Hickman is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Ad Astra Eye in Lawrence, Kansas, specializing in cataract surgery and comprehensive eye care. He has been practicing since 2005 and provides medical and surgical treatment for a range of eye conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and age-related macular degeneration.

Dr. Hickman completed his internship at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine and his ophthalmology training at the University of Missouri, Kansas City. He serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor (Volunteer) in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Kansas Medical Center and has authored numerous medical textbook chapters and research articles. He is also actively involved in volunteer ophthalmology, having served as medical director of SEE International and performed eye surgeries in several developing countries.
