Dr. Michael Mulhern

Dr. Michael Libby Mulhern is a board-certified ophthalmologist who provides comprehensive eye care, including cataract surgery, laser procedures, and long-term management of eye disease. He works with patients to protect vision and eye health through clear communication, careful evaluation, and treatment plans tailored to each person’s needs.

Dr. Mulhern earned a biochemistry degree from the University of Kansas and completed both his medical degree and a PhD at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He completed ophthalmology residency training at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics. Dr. Mulhern joined Lawrence Eye Care in August 2014 and has cared for patients in the community since then. He is LenSx certified for laser-assisted cataract surgery and has a clinical focus that includes cataract care, glaucoma evaluation and treatment, diabetes-related eye care, and routine comprehensive eye exams.
