About Me
Dr. Kyle Fallgatter is a vitreoretinal surgeon who treats the full range of medical and surgical retina conditions, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal tears and detachments, and macular disorders. He offers advanced diagnostics and microsurgical care designed to protect the macula and preserve sight, and he partners closely with referring doctors to streamline urgent evaluations when vision changes quickly.
A Jacksonville native and former U.S. Navy officer, Dr. Fallgatter earned a systems engineering degree from the United States Naval Academy, completed a master’s in medical sciences at the University of South Florida, and received his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine. He completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Florida and a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at the University of Pittsburgh. He practices at Florida Retina Institute, where he focuses on personalized, evidence-based care and communication that helps patients feel informed and supported.
