About Me
Dr. Raul J. Moreno is a board-certified, fellowship-trained vitreoretinal specialist at Florida Retina Institute. He provides personalized, patient-centered care for a wide range of retinal conditions, including retinal detachment, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, macular hole, and retinal vein occlusion. Dr. Moreno utilizes advanced diagnostic and surgical techniques to manage these complex eye diseases.
A graduate of the University of Puerto Rico, Dr. Moreno completed his internship at the Veterans Administration Hospital in San Juan, an ophthalmology residency at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center, and a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and the National Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Moreno joined Florida Retina Institute in 1991 and is fluent in Spanish, serving patients at multiple locations throughout Florida and Georgia.
