About Me
Kevin Jackson, MD, is an ophthalmologist at Duke Eye Center whose practice focuses on the cornea, cataract, and anterior segment. He partners closely with each person to understand their visual goals and design clear, practical plans to reach them. Clinically, he offers the full spectrum of corneal transplantation — from full-thickness to partial-thickness techniques — and performs traditional, premium, and laser-assisted cataract surgery using modern lens options. He also provides laser vision correction, including LASIK and PRK, and manages complex disorders of the cornea, lens, and ocular surface.
As a fellowship-trained cornea specialist, Dr. Jackson is committed to evidence-based, thoughtful care and to helping patients make informed choices. He is equally comfortable discussing nonsurgical therapies and moving forward with surgery when the timing is right. His training includes medical school at the Perelman School of Medicine, ophthalmology residency at Duke Eye Center, advanced cornea fellowship at Duke, and an innovation fellowship at Stanford’s Byers Eye Institute. Patients describe his style as warm, collaborative, and focused on improving quality of life.
