Dr. Kevin Patel

Dr. Kevin Patel is a board-certified retina surgeon who provides medical and surgical care for diseases of the retina and vitreous. He focuses on helping patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options, including newer therapies studied through clinical trials, with the goal of protecting vision and supporting long-term eye health.

Raised in the Chicago suburbs, Dr. Patel completed his undergraduate and medical education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, graduating summa cum laude and earning membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He served as Chief Resident at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary and completed vitreoretinal surgery fellowship training at California Pacific Medical Center/West Coast Retina. Dr. Patel also teaches ophthalmology residents at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County and stays engaged in advances in retinal disease therapy.
