About Me
Dr. Ketan Laud is a retina specialist who has been serving patients on Long Island for over a decade. He earned his medical degree and completed his ophthalmology residency at New York Medical College, then further honed his expertise through two prestigious fellowships in Retina/Vitreous Surgery at the University of British Columbia and Columbia University/VRMNY, where he was mentored by leaders in the retinal field.
Dr. Laud offers his patients an individualized treatment approach and works closely with them to provide the best visual outcomes in a compassionate and welcoming environment. He is passionate about offering the most innovative therapies and regularly serves as a principal investigator for numerous national clinical trials, providing his patients access to the latest treatments and a higher level of expertise in their use.
In addition to patient care, Dr. Laud serves as a member of the faculty in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, training ophthalmology residents and fellows. He is also an educator and lecturer at regional, national, and international retinal meetings, sharing his perspective on emerging therapies and research trials. His commitment to excellence has been recognized with his annual honor as a Top Doctor by Castle Connolly, New York Magazine, and Newsday.
