About Me
Suveera Dang, MD, MPH, is a retina specialist who provides thoughtful, evidence-based care for conditions that affect the back of the eye. She welcomes adults with concerns such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, retinal vein occlusions, central serous retinopathy, uveitis, retinal tears, and detachment. Patients value her clear explanations and practical guidance, with an emphasis on accurate diagnosis and treatments tailored to daily life and long-term vision goals.
Dr. Dang earned an MPH from the Dartmouth Institute for Health Care Policy & Clinical Practice and her MD from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. She completed a transitional year at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse, followed by ophthalmology residency at George Washington University, where she served as chief resident. She then pursued fellowship training in Medical Diseases of the Retina at Northwestern Medicine. Dr. Dang has presented research at national meetings, including ARVO, and has lectured on topics such as posterior uveitis white dot syndromes and diabetic retinopathy. She is excited to care for patients on Long Island as part of the Retina Group of New York.
