About Me
Dr. Kenneth J. Taubenslag is a vitreoretinal surgeon and uveitis specialist with the University of Maryland Medical System. He cares for patients with medical and surgical retina conditions and inflammatory eye disease, offering meticulous evaluation, evidence-based treatment, and clear counseling about recovery and long-term care. As an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences, he is committed to teaching and collaborative, multidisciplinary care.
Dr. Taubenslag earned his MD from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and completed an internship with UPMC, ophthalmology residency at the University of Pittsburgh, and a fellowship in Vitreoretinal Diseases and Surgery at Vanderbilt Eye Institute. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
