About Me
Dr. Kelly W. Muir is a glaucoma specialist and ophthalmologist at Duke Eye Center. She provides state-of-the-art and compassionate eye care, working closely with patients to develop personalized treatment plans. Dr. Muir cares for adults with glaucoma or at risk for glaucoma, as well as those with general eye conditions such as cataracts.
Her research aims to reduce blindness from glaucoma by improving patient self-management. She has studied patient-provider communication, developed educational resources, and created a novel eyedrop bottle to help patients administer their medications correctly. Dr. Muir is board certified in ophthalmology and holds appointments as Professor of Ophthalmology and Fellowship Director at Duke.
