About Me
Dr. Karishma Habbu is a uveitis and medical retina specialist who cares for inflammatory and vascular eye diseases as well as routine vision needs. She partners closely with patients to control inflammation, protect vision, and coordinate care with other physicians when eye disease is linked to systemic conditions. She also offers cataract and glaucoma treatment options tailored to each person’s lifestyle and goals.
Dr. Habbu earned her undergraduate degree from Columbia University and her MD from Case Western Reserve University. She completed ophthalmology residency at the University of North Carolina, where she served as Chief Resident and received multiple awards for clinical excellence. She then completed a fellowship in Ocular Immunology and Uveitis at the Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute. Her interests include refractive cataract surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, and aesthetic eyelid procedures. She has published in leading journals and is active in advocacy and health-equity initiatives.
