About Me
Dr. Karima S. Khimani is a board-certified ophthalmologist and corneal specialist who returned home to San Antonio to provide advanced medical and surgical eye care. Her expertise includes premium cataract surgery, refractive procedures such as LASIK, PRK, and ICL, and the full spectrum of corneal transplantation—DMEK, DSAEK, PKP, and DALK—as well as pterygium removal and Boston Keratoprosthesis.
In addition to surgery, Dr. Khimani manages dry eye disease, diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, ocular surface injuries, and corneal dystrophies. She completed a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center after residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch, with earlier training at Baylor College of Medicine and the University of Texas at Austin.
